The foundation provides EGP
7.3 million in support to 35 students at Nile University. Nile University is a
pioneering local non-profit research institution, and was established in 2007
with the aim of raising the level of education and maximizing the value of
research and innovation in various technical and mechanical fields. This is in
addition to graduating cadres of highly qualified professionals to meet the
needs of the community and industrial companies in order to achieve sustainable
economic development. The programs at Nile University and its research centers
were designed in response to the vital needs for economic growth and
development in Egypt, and in the Arab world as a whole.
A cooperation protocol was
signed by the Banque Misr Foundation and Nile University, through which 30
five-year scholarships will be provided to students seeking bachelor’s degrees
in engineering, and administration, while five two-year scholarships will be
granted to graduate students.
