President Al Sisi inspects Banque Misr pavilion for digital transformation at Arab-African Youth Forum
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected the pavilion of Banque Misr at the Arab-African Youth Forum (AAYF) in Aswan. H.E. President Al Sisi was accompanied by PM Moustafa Madbouli, the CBE Governor Tarek Amer, and a group of other ministers in his tour at the pavilion of Banque Misr, the platinum sponsor of the forum.

The president recognized the bank’s achievements in the digital technology sector, as Banque Misr’s Vice Chairman, Akef Abdel Latif, presented some state-of-art technologies deployed by the bank, targeting its services to be accessible for the youth in various governorates. It is worth noting that Banque Misr is the first Egyptian bank to provide an interactive conversation “Chat Bot” service on its website to better serve customers 24 hours a day.

The bank showcased its experience at offering the auto assistant “Chat Bot” service for responding to customer inquiries and offering the assistance 24/7; it also provides the most effective solutions to analyze customer inquiries through a deep look into the data. Banque Misr affirms its leading role in digital transformation technology through the auto assistant. Within 3 months, the service was offered for average 16000 calls per month, representing 79% of the total clients’ calls with no need for the assistance of the call-center staff. The online “Chat Bot” service was the same channel for customer support through receiving the customers’ complaints, which in turn facilitated communication with the clients.

Moreover, Banque Misr believes in the importance of financial inclusion through the provision of comprehensive financial services to the various segments of society through official channels, including credit and saving accounts, payment and transfer services, insurance services, as well as finance and credit services. Therefore, Banque Misr  is committed to carrying out several activities to ensure achieving the financial inclusion by providing banking services for every Egyptian citizen all over the nation. Banque Misr is considered a national financial channel that is relied upon for achieving strategic development nationally at the various social and economic sectors; such activities include supporting entrepreneurs for combating unemployment, increasing the GDP rate, achieving sustainable development, as well as boosting the geographical expansion for providing financial services through 620 branches nationwide. Additionally, the bank targets establishing new branches within the coming years to reach 875 branches by 2020 to make its services accessible everywhere for its clients.

Moreover, Banque Mir developed several electronic payment methods to transform the society into a cashless one, such as e-payroll services for both public and private sectors, e-tax/custom payment, and CPS service for corporate.

In the light of its leading role at providing e-banking services, the bank offered various services such as BM-Wallet for payment via mobile phone. Furthermore, the bank cooperated with a number of universities for providing tuition e-payment service. Banque Misr is keen on forming partnerships in providing e-payment methods for the society, taking part in financial inclusion awareness campaigns for promoting the knowledge about the financial and banking sectors, which will contribute to implementing the cashless society plan.
