BMFCDW Donates EGP 10 Million to Support Ain Shams Universities Hospitals

​​Based on its strong interest and believe in corporate social responsibility as a key pillar, Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development and Welfare (BMFCDW) is participating in a range of activities supporting social development.  BMFCDW has funded the establishing and outfitting of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the General Surgery Hospital, Ain Shams Universities Hospitals. The foundation financed the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) civil, construction and equipment installation work. The foundation’s donation of EGP 10 mln was also used  to purchase essential medical devices include  29 ventilators, 29 monitors, 29 center stations, 29 ICU beds plus over bed dining  tray accompanied by a bed side table , 29 syringe pumps, 3 defibrillators,  3 emergency trolleys, and ultrasonography.
On 24/2/2015 Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, and Dr. Ali El‐Saeydi, Deputy Chairman of BMFCDW Board of Trustees has inaugurated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the General Surgery Hospital, Ain Shams Universities Hospitals after completing necessary civil, construction, and equipment installation work in the presence of Ahmed Abdel Khalek, Ministry, Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Adel Adwy, Minister of Health, Dr. Galal El-Saeed, Cairo Governor, Dr. Ali Gomaa, Former Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Hussein Essa, President of Ain Shams University,  Ahmed Emad El Din Rady, Dean of Faculty of Medicine. This is in addition to the presence of a number of doctors, professors, and Ain Shams University hospital managers. 
It is worth noting that Banque Misr has established BMFCDW as a non-profitable organization and an independent entity managed by a Board of Trustees. Banque Misr allocates an annual budget to support the foundation activities. The foundation also receives donations from corporates and individuals inside and outside Egypt enabling the institution to achieve its general goals and execute specific projects.​
