Mr. Mohamed Kamal El Din Barakat, Chairman of Banque Misr, recognizes young inventor, Mariam Bayoumi, a Preparatory degree student from Menoufia Governorate. Bayoumi’s invention included a special technique to treat the Nile silt in Lake Nasser. Bayoumi won four awards, three medals, in addition to a certificate of appreciation from the Canadian Inventors Committee in an international competition. The competition was held in Indonesia from 4th to 6th June, 2014, and organized by the Association of Young Inventors and Scientists in IndonesiaBarakat awarded Bayoumi with an EGP 10 thousand passbook in addition to a BM Card for her remarkable achievements. Mohamed Barakat, Banque Misr chairman, affirmed that the young inventor deserves recognition and appreciation for setting a role model among young people on account of her past and ongoing scientific achievements. Honoring the young inventor sheds the light on the Bank’s continuous efforts raising awareness about the importance of science and technology realizations among young people. Thus in turn contributes to the overall development of the society.
