Personal accounts are opened for natural persons only without savings books in different currencies. These accounts shall have interest calculated monthly, credited every six months (in June and December every year).Saving Accounts have the following advantages:Checks are issued for saving accounts in foreign currencies only. Joint accounts can be opened for more than one natural person. Accounts can be opened for persons who are under-age, with a guardian or tutor. Plastic cards can be issued with the saving accounts as collateral. Loans can be made with the saving accounts as collateral. BM cards are issued for young people who open saving accounts without savings books. The ordinary saving book in Egyptian pound can be substituted by a saving account which has the same features of the saving book but its transactions shall be carried through the saving card.
