Banque Misr Sponsors 1st Arab Forum to Celebrate Special Needs Individuals

Banque Misr sponsored the 1st Arab Forum for Special Education Schools, which was held under the auspices and presence of Mr. Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The forum took place from 1st until 4th of October, 2018 at Sharm el-Sheikh International Congress Center. Banque Misr sponsored Exhibition of handicrafts made by challenged children from Egypt and participating Arab countries including Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Jordan. The forum’s main aim was to shed the light on special needs children's talents providing an opportunity to discuss collaborative means to develop their capabilities and skills. The event highlighted the state and the Ministry of Education efforts to empower and integrate special needs citizens into the society. The Egyptian Prime Minister, His Excellency Dr Mostafa Madbouly along with a number of ministers, leading public figures and media attended the forum.


Banque Misr is keen on sponsoring the event as part of its commitment towards corporate social responsibility. The bank participates directly or indirectly through its non-profit arm, “Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development,” in the development of various fields including health, education, social solidarity and community development. This entailed the development of the most-in-need villages and slums in Egypt and every aspect related to human development, whereas the donations have amounted to around EGP 600 million for the fiscal year 2017/2018.


The bank has always been keen on supporting youth in an array of fields to secure a better future. Thus, creating a business role model for the rest of the institutions to build Egypt and achieve human well-being.
