Banque Misr participate in the 23rd edition of "Cairo ICT", the International Exhibition for Communication and Information Technology for the year 2019
Banque Misr participated, as a matter of course, in the 23rd edition of "Cairo ICT", the International Exhibition for Communication and Information Technology for the year 2019. For several years, the bank has been keen on being part of this great event that more than 500 international and local companies and entrepreneurships participate in, and more than 94,000 visitors visit, in the presence of international representatives from more than 37 countries, and more than 5000 media officers.
 
The bank's participation this year was exceptional; a state-of-the-art huge digital pavilion, through which it provided visitors with full information about the bank's products and services, courtesy of a very well-trained high caliber team. These efforts aimed at promoting the bank's retail products and digital banking services, such as: Internet and mobile banking, BM wallet, and "Express" loan. This goes in line with the current development in the field of communication and information technology; a field that Banque Misr believes is crucial for social and economic development and prosperity.
 
Furthermore, the bank is keen on providing various segments of the society with financial services through several channels, including a wide network of branches - up to 700 branches all over Egypt, bringing the bank closer to its customers, in addition to its regional and international presence in United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, France, Germany, China, Russia, South Korea (Seoul), and Italy (Milan). The bank is also planning to open a representative office in Kenya (Nairobi), and other African countries, in addition to a wide network of reporters covering the whole world.
 
The bank also has an advanced network of ATM machines - around 2700 machines, which offers withdrawing and depositing services, currency exchange, bill payment, donations, and other services. In addition, the bank has an open communication channel with its customers around the clock via social media platforms, such as "Facebook", "Twitter", "Instagram", etc. And for the first time in Egypt, the bank introduces artificial intelligence technology and offers the "Chat Bot" service on its website, to serve its customers around the clock. This interactive service is a step forward towards digitalization, as customers will be able to interact with the automated helper 24/7, which will have its impact on the customer service speed and flexibility, and accordingly its quality. It is worth noting that Banque Misr has taken several steps to implement the digital transformation strategy, including the development and updating of the BM Online banking service, by providing a new bundle of banking services that customers can obtain through the internet banking service. The bank also launched its banking services to its customers online via the mobile phone through the mobile banking application. Banque Misr is one of the first banks to provide the mobile payment service through its application "BM wallet", which allows customers to transfer money from the their BM wallet to any other wallet in Egypt, and withdraw from the wallet and deposit in it through more than 8000 ATMs all over Egypt and more than 90,000 outlets. Customers can also use their BM wallet to pay public utility bills, pay landline and mobile phone bills, purchase tickets, charge mobile phone credit, pay for donations, and other services.
 
Furthermore, Banque Misr is considered the first to provide the mobile wallet customers with the technology to purchase from Points of Sale and electronic websites using the QR. That is not all; the bank has also automated the funding of microfinance projects to provide the service instantaneously. 
 
Banque Misr is always working on developing and updating its products and services and to open creative communication channels with its customers that better suits their needs using the most advanced technologies available.
