The protocol includes the
issuance of pre-paid cards to beneficiaries in order to facilitate the
acquisition of services provided by COCC, which delivers services, financial
and in-kind assistance to some 100 thousand families throughout the
governorates of the Republic. A total of 200 cards were delivered as part of
the first phase of the initiative. Banque Misr also celebrated outstanding high
school graduates and gifted them 50 bicycles as part of the signature ceremony,
so as to motivate them to continue their successful endeavors and to become
exceptional community members in the future, capable of contributing to the
nation’s progress and development. This also came in light of Banque Misr’s
support of Egyptian youth as the beacons of the future.
Worth noting is that Banque Misr
has always been keen on supporting state efforts seeking the achievement of
financial inclusion, owing to its firm belief in the importance of financial
inclusion, which aims to enable access by all segments of society to financial
products and service that accommodate their various needs. The Bank has
partaken in financial inclusion activities (via International Youth Day) under
the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt, from the 9th – 24th
August 2020, by providing numerous benefits and free offers that serve all
customers, specifically the nation’s youth, being the largest segment of
society.
Banque Misr has consistently
supported the state’s efforts for achieving financial inclusion, by partaking
in several initiatives and protocols seeking to serve members of the community.
This is in addition to adopting various schemes that spread awareness on
financial inclusion such as supporting small and medium enterprises under the
“Nilepreneurs” initiative sponsored by the CBE. The initiative aims to support
young entrepreneurs and to encourage start-up companies operating in various
economic sectors.
