Banque Misr Delivers Model 2020 Car to Winner of its Marketing Campaign Encouraging the Use of Credit, Debit and Prepaid Cards
Banque Misr has recently announced the name of the winner of the model 2020 car, whereby Mr. Ihab Dorra – Head of Retail Banking and Branches – delivered the vehicle to Mr. Alaa Eddin Mohamed Elsayed – the winner – in a ceremony held for this purpose at Banque Misr’s Fifth Settlement premises on Tuesday, 28th July 2020. The winner expressed his happiness for winning the car in the Bank’s draw.

Banque Misr had launched this competition in line with the directives of the state and the Central Bank of Egypt, for supporting electronic payments and coinciding with the calls by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization for the use of non-cash payments to curb the spread of COVID-19. The campaign was initiated in April 2020 and continued until 30th June 2020, seeking to encourage holders of Banque Misr’s credit, debit and prepaid cards to use these cards in their transactions, instead of cash payments. Each online transaction purchase provided 5 opportunities per customer, whereas purchases at outlets and payments made through POS yielded 3 opportunities. The draw for the car was done in the attendance of officials from the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

The acquisition and use of credit, debit and prepaid cards has become an everyday necessity, fulfilling the needs of consumers. In fact, sometimes no other payment methods are available. Moreover, cardholders benefit from various advantages such as security against theft and damage. As for internet transactions, Banque Misr has offered numerous features enabling customers to safeguard card balances against fraud and theft, such as the one-time password, which enables the customer to authenticate each transaction. A code is sent to the customer’s registered phone number through which this validation process may be completed. In addition to being more practical, Banque Misr cardholders also benefit from a wide range of offers, discounts and draws; thanks to an extensive network of merchants and outlets.
