Banque Misr is the First Egyptian Bank to Offer New WhatsApp for Business Channel, Serving Customers via Mobile Phone

Owing to the Bank’s keenness on providing the latest services to its customers and in keeping with its pioneering status in the Egyptian banking sector, Banque Misr launched the “WhatsApp for Business” service to serve customers around the clock, with this interactive service being a step towards moving forward with digital transformation. Customers are now able to conduct an interactive dialogue at all times without queuing. This technology contributes to diversifying the means of communication with customers, which helps to achieve further success and advancement by improving operations and reinventing business models.

 
The WhatsApp for Business service responds to customers’ queries and assists them around the clock, seven days a week; providing an interactive dialog, which shall reflect on establishing a more convenient communication channel with customers. Banque Misr is considered the first bank in Egypt to launch this service, cementing its pioneering stance in the domain of digital transformation technology, by communicating with customers via mobile phones at 0020219888.

 
On a similar note, Banque Misr has always sought to modernize and develop its online marketing channels, whereby it tops the list of viewership for official banks on YouTube, according to a report by Social Bakers Analytics, which estimated the total number of views of the Bank’s official YouTube channel at more than 92.3 million, which is six fold the viewership of the second bank on the list. Also worth noting is that Banque Misr recently received the Silver Play Button award from YouTube (Google), since the number of subscribers to its channel currently stands at 129 thousand. This is in addition to Banque Misr ranking first on the list of banks on Facebook, where the followers of its official page on the social networking site number some 4.1 million; its Twitter followers number more than 52 thousand; with another 45 thousand followers on Instagram.

 
Banque Misr has also updated its web portal – which is considered amongst the most developed online banking portals in the domestic market – which contains an advanced calculator for all loans, a site-locator informing customers of the location of ATMs and Bank branches throughout the country via Google Maps. These means are some of the must cutting-edge technological features, together with the portal containing all products and services offered by Banque Misr. The human resources page was also updated to allow the online submission of job applications, easily and conveniently.
