The Giving Initiative Banqur Misr launches a blood donation campaign among employees
As part of Banque Misr's social role and with the bank being an integral part of the Egyptian society; the bank is supporting patients in need of blood in all hospitals. The bank management is keen on its employees' participation in contributing to this important humanitarian activity. Hence, the bank has organized a blood donation campaign for its employees. The Medical Service department at the bank has coordinated with the Red Crescent to organize this blood donation campaign at the bank medical units in Cairo and Alexandria for two days. 
Banque Misr's participation in organizing this campaign, as well as its employees' turnout, come as a new step on the path of effective social participation for Egyptians and in supporting them in their problems and pains, especially for patients and children in urgen​t need of blood transfusion. This blood donation campaign, alongside other humanitarian and philanthropic campaigns organized by the bank in the past, has helped in strengthening the culture of volunteerism and giving among employees. This in turn is considered a true embodiment of belonging and altruism. Blood donation also has a positive impact and represents a health benefit to donors.  
Banque Misr has achieved the difficult balance, not only in always offering new, innovative and diversified banking products and services that cater to customer needs, but also in its continuous initiatives for providing social banking services that are needed by various community segments. Banque Misr provides accounts for donations serving multiple charitable institutions and organizations. For instance, the Egyptian Food Bank, Diabetes Pediatric Unit, Ministry of Health and Population Initiative to treat the unable, Association of Friends of the National Cancer Institute (AFNCI), Egyptian Liver Research Institute and Hospital 57573 Hospital, to name a few.
