Banque Misr Receives Award for “Best Human Resources Strategy – Egypt 2020” from The Digital Banker
Banque Misr attained the award for “Best Human Resources Strategy – Egypt 2020” from The Digital Banker, which bases its selection of winning candidates on a set of global standards as well as the opinion of a select panel of reputable analysts. The Bank was honored in a virtual celebration held by The Digital Banker via videoconference on Thursday, 3rd December 2020, during which the winning financial institutions were named. On this occasion, Mr. Hany El Samra – HR Sector Manager at Banque Misr – addressed the audience on behalf of the Bank.
Banque Misr has always attached great importance to implementing the principles of governance with regards to human resources; from equitable recruitment practices to providing equal opportunities for all workers, prohibiting discrimination on the basis of ethnicity, religion, political beliefs, gender and any other basis. The Bank also respects the right to join labor unions and adopts an exceptional program for qualifying its employees to assume their roles, by developing policies and advanced training schemes that encompass all aspects of banking. The Bank’s training strategy for financial year 2019/2020 included 770 thousand training hours and offered more than 40 thousand training opportunities for employees, in addition to providing equitable employment application, promotion and bonus opportunities.
This award crowns the efforts of Banque Misr in this domain, since it firmly believes that its employees are the institution’s most valuable asset. It is also a reflection of the strength of the Egyptian Banking sector, which lies in its enlightened leaders who are sufficiently experienced and seasoned so as to help it maintain the stature it enjoys today.
