Banque Misr receives 6 awards of the year 2018 from EMEA Finance on financial transactions
EMEA Finance, which is one of the world's leading financial and banking institutions, has announced the awards of the year 2018; where Banque Misr has been granted 6 awards with respect to financing and arranging transactions in which BM collaborated with a number of the prominent banks . BM received the awards on various transaction services across Africa at several sectors: fertilizers, petrochemicals, building materials, and telecommunication. Winning Project Finance awards and Achievement awards affirmed BM’s pioneering role in supporting the Egyptian economy.
Banque Misr will receive these awards in the annual ceremony to be held by EMEA Finance in London. The awards are considered a reflection of the bank’s major success. According to Bloomberg’s report in 2018, Banque Misr was ranked the first among the best banks in Egypt during the past four years in many sectors: marketing, management, and arrangement of syndicated loans and project finance. It is also worth noting that BM has been top-ranked since 2015.
During the period from 01/01/2018 until 31/12/2018, Banque Misr accomplished arranging, funding and participating in several financial transactions with a total value of EGP 53.2billion at various sectors (electricity, fertilizers, petrochemicals, telecommunication, real-estate, oil &gas, steel, food). The value of Banque Misr’s guarantee for those transactions reached nearly EGP 12.4billion, which is considered notable achievement in arranging financial transactions for mega projects in all sectors, as well as the efficient role in national projects’ management.
