Banque Misr signed a protocol of collaboration with Jit-Zone to market products and conduct market research to promote Egyptian exports to Africa through the company’s digital platform. The protocol aims to provide banking services to customers in all countries within which the Bank and the company operate, in addition to providing Jit-Zone services to the Bank’s customers at various discounts and facilities.
The protocol allows the use of electronic payment solutions from the Bank on the company’s platform and aims to launch a joint academy to train exporters in Egypt and Africa - African Export Academy - to enhance the awareness of Egyptian exporters in regard to African and global markets and provide banking services appropriate to the volume of their transactions. This is while improving quality, leading to increased export opportunities and hence the ability to fulfil their goals more professionally, quickly and efficiently; starting from brand promotion and manufacturing, to shipping; through three different phases of training: basic training, advanced training and simulation training.
The signing of the protocol is a continuation of Banque Misr’s leading role in supporting the Egyptian economy and the state’s plan towards digital transformation, especially since export activities are considered one of the most important and influential economic activities. The Bank’s strategy is to provide integrated solutions to support exports – in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 – and offer distinguished services to exporters, since exports contribute to boosting national income across various industries. This, in turn, positively impacts development plans, provides job opportunities in various industries and raises the efficiency of local products to increase exports. The Bank believes that concerted efforts are imperative to realize the anticipated revival of the Egyptian economy in order to achieve a better quality of life for Egyptian citizens.
Through its platform, Jit-Zone shall assist Egyptian exporters to promote their products globally by launching electronic campaigns, coupled with marketing on the ground through the company's offices and partners located in more than 20 countries, mostly in Africa. The company’s strategic plan includes covering the entire African continent (56 countries) by the end of 2022, by linking exporters, importers and investors.
