Misr Foundation for Community Development signs cooperation protocol with
Gannat El Khulood Charity Association to train 300 families in slum area
A cooperation protocol was signed with
the Gannat El Khulood Charity Association to undertake the New Person project.
The project aims to equip handicraft training workshops in the Doweika informal
settlement area to train 300 families to produce handcrafted products. These
products include clothing, upholstery, leather handbags and school bags,
crafts, and gifts. The project also aims to provide healthcare and human
development training for the families, in addition to promoting education and
raising cultural awareness, as well training them on how to deal with their
children and the surrounding environment in a positive manner. The project
further targets strengthening the skills and raising the awareness of their
children in the primary and preparatory stages of education, through
skill-building classes.
