Banque Misr participates in the financial inclusion event “International Youth Day” under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt

Proceeding from Banque Misr’s keenness to support the state’s efforts to achieve financial inclusion in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 to achieve sustainable development. The Bank is keen to participate continuously in financial inclusion activities, including the event (International Youth Day) under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt. And this comes from Banque Misr’s belief in the importance of achieving financial inclusion, which aims to enabling all segments of society to access financial products and services that meet their different needs, for example, Savings accounts, current accounts, payment and transfer services, insurance, finance and credit.

On the occasion of the "International Youth Day", which will continue during the period from 1 to 15 August 2022, the Bank has been keen to provide many benefits and free offers that serve all customers, especially the youth, as they are the largest group in society. These benefits include, opening accounts for new customers without fees and without a minimum for opening accounts, The bank bears the stamp fees necessary to open accounts, with the issuance of the Meeza card for immediate debit or the classic card for immediate debit for free. For customers under 16 years of age, the fees for issuing the prepaid card (TEENS) are exempted within Youth program with the possibility of using it in purchases through commercial outlets or online through the Internet without the need to open accounts. For customers from 16 to 21 years old, accounts are opened for free with the issuance of a free (BM) card, for customers from 21 to 35 years old, accounts are opened for free with the issuance of a (GO) card. As for customers using the BM Wallet application, 20% of the first financial movement is recovered with the application of the regulating conditions.

Banque Misr is always keen to participate in all the initiatives and campaigns launched by the Central Bank of Egypt, especially the campaigns to support financial inclusion, as well as support women through providing various financial services and supporting entrepreneurs who own small projects, which contributes significantly to supporting the Egyptian economy and raising the living standard of individuals. This initiative aims to support young entrepreneurs and encourage start-ups in various economic sectors by providing support to them.

Banque Misr is considered one of the first banks that contributed to education and financial inclusion since its launch in Egypt in 2014 under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt. The bank also continues its efforts to spread awareness of financial inclusion and financial culture and introduce banking products and services to university and school students, in addition to adopting several educational and financial inclusion programs.
