The Internal Audit Department of Banque Misr recently awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certificate in the field of Internal Audit by TUV southwest, the international leader specialized in the field of testing, inspection and auditing, and was recognized by the Egyptian General Organization for Standardization and Quality. The certificate is granted after the awarding entity verifies the audit and review of all internal policies and procedures, and that such policies and procedures are in accordance with the internationally approved standards and principles in the Global Management System.

Mr. Mohamed El-Etreby – the Chairman of Banque Misr said that this certificate confirms Banque Misr’s success and effectiveness in managing its banking operations and services, and reflects its pioneering role in managing its operations and providing all banking services to more than 13 million clients with the required efficiency and quality to serve and protect the national economy, support the bank’s role in the field of sustainable development in all its elements, Environment, Society and Governance (ESG), as well as its role in achieving financial and banking stability and maximization the return on the invested capital.

Head of the Internal Audit of Banque Misr, Mr. Mohamed Yahya Ahmed, stated that this international recognition is a direct result of the support of the Senior Management of the Bank, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors and the efforts of all colleagues in the Internal Audit Sector.

Receiving such International Certificate is a supplement of the Bank's success in the field of Internal Audit, as the Bank has previously awarded the Best Bank Award in the field of Internal Audit – Egypt of 2021 and 2022 from the International Business Times. Receiving these awards and certificates is a real reflection of the bank’s efforts and continuous updating of the work system to ensure that it paves the way to achieve the highest performance rates.
