Activating Banque Misr's leading role in corporate social responsibility, and as an integral part of the Egyptian community, and in support of patients in need of blood at hospitals nationwide, Banque Misr's management, with a keen desire to involve the bank's employees in this noble humanitarian effort, has once again launched a blood donation campaign for its staff. This initiative was coordinated between Banque Misr's Human Resources Sector and the Blood Bank affiliated with the Egyptian Company for Blood Transfusion Services (VACSERA).
The campaign took place at the bank's headquarters in Cairo and Giza, with medical experts and necessary equipment on hand, and all required precautionary measures strictly observed.
Banque Misr's commitment to organizing this campaign on a regular and continuous basis for its employees stems from its conviction in the importance of effective community engagement for the nation's citizens, standing with them through their challenges and suffering, particularly patients and children with urgent transfusion needs. This campaign, alongside other community and humanitarian initiatives previously organized by the bank, has fostered a culture of volunteerism and humanitarian giving among employees, a genuine embodiment of belonging and altruism. Beyond its positive impact and the health and humanitarian benefits for employee blood donors, the bank has diligently worked to raise employee awareness of the importance of blood donation, cultivating a sense of belonging and promoting a culture of blood donation within Egyptian society, while encouraging them to contribute to saving lives.
The campaign successfully garnered blood donations with the participation of colleagues from both Cairo and Giza governorates. The bank’s employees were eager to join the campaign, contributing to meeting the needs of patients across Egypt, given that the health sector is among the most strategic and impactful sectors in individuals' lives. Banque Misr consistently supports various medical institutions, aiming to contribute to the provision of fitting healthcare. Banque Misr holds a prominent position among banks for its extensive involvement in corporate social responsibility, and it is noteworthy that the bank allocated approximately EGP 1.2 billion for investment in this domain during 2024.
