Banque Misr Donates for the Establishment of 14 Rooms in Ahl Masr Hospital for Free Burn Treatment

Banque Misr recently signed a protocol of cooperation with Ahl Masr Foundation for Development, to equip 14 rooms in Ahl Masr Hospital, including 12 single rooms, a double room and an isolation room for the treatment of burn victims. Said contribution will assist in providing free medical care using the latest medical equipment and devices needed for patients, as prescribed by best international practices. This agreement is in light of Banque Misr's leading role in the field of social responsibility - being one of the main pillars adopted and practiced by the Bank - through which it pays great heed to many fields, especially health and education .
 
Mohamed El-Etreby - Chairman of the Board of Banque Misr - stated that the support comes as part of a comprehensive plan implemented by the Bank, which includes all domains related to human development. The volume of the Bank's contributions for the current year has reached some EGP 800 million; the majority of which was channeled into the health sector. The Bank is proud to cooperate with Ahl Masr Foundation for Development, acknowledging its influential role in treating and saving burn victims. El-Etreby stated, "The issue of burns is one of the most important issues facing our entire Arab community and we must all help Ahl Masr Foundation in its role in speaking up for burn victims, so that the hospital receives sufficient financial support to open its doors as soon as possible, in order to accommodate the injured and provide them with the best treatment, health and psychological care. "
 
On her part, Ms. Heba El-Sewedy - Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ahl Masr Foundation for Development - praised the initiative of Banque Misr to donate to burn victims in light of the difficult time the world is currently experiencing and praised the awareness of institutions of their respective roles and ability to support development entities. Ms. El-Sewedy also pointed to the seriousness of the issue of burns and the importance of collaboration by all sectors of society towards tackling it .
 
El-Sewedy reiterated the importance of financial contributions, which constitute the basis of these projects, as well as employing them effectively to multiply the medical services rendered. This is what the Foundation seeks to achieve, with the assistance of a select group of qualified physicians and nursing staff, trained to deal properly with critical situations .
