In line with Banque Misr's commitment as a leading financial institution to offer services that cater to citizens' needs and in support of the Egyptian government's policy of providing facilities for citizens residing abroad to regularize their recruitment situations, a new service has been introduced. It allows individuals to make payments using foreign bank cards from outside Egypt directly on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' initiative website for addressing employment situations, in collaboration with Banque Misr.

The introduction of this service underscores the bank's leading role in supporting the Egyptian economy and the government's strategy for digital transformation. It builds upon Banque Misr's earlier successes in providing electronic payment solutions for various government services across different sectors, aligning with Egypt's Vision 2030. During 2022, Banque Misr recorded remarkable growth rates, with electronic payment acceptance portfolio expansion reaching 91% (point of sale payments grew by 79%, online payments by 100%, and QR code payments by 146%). The number of point of sale terminals increased to 440,000, with over 2,000 websites and mobile applications, 1.5 million e-wallet users, and more than 2 million QR code transactions.

It is important to note that Banque Misr has been at the forefront of electronic collection services, introducing innovative solutions like QR codes to support digital transformation and enhance convenience for customers in their banking and financial transactions.
